J.Ellis is a Boston Native and attended Northeastern University. He holds his certification through nationally accredited, American Council on Exercise (ACE). J.Ellis is a former wide receiver for the Boston Bandits, who in 2005 were ranked as one of the top 5 semi-pro teams in the country back in 2005. J.Ellis led the Boston Bandits in solo tackles on Special Teams, and has been invited to try out professionally for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the National Football League through a free agent combine. J.Ellis' talents playing football had also caught the attention of several international teams in Europe, including teams located in France, Italy, and Austria.
J.Ellis is an expert in overall fitness with a specialty in kick boxing, which he incorporates into his exercise programs from his experience in Tae Kwon Do. J.Ellis has also attended multiple seminars hosted by Coach John Davies, who has trained clients that range from the NFL elite to high-school athletes, and has written in various magazines such as T-Nation.com. Due to his experience in athletics, J.Ellis likes to put emphasis on the mental aspect of training, of focus and determination. He enjoys working with ALL fitness levels.
Heather graduated from the American Academy of Personal Training and is currently enrolled at Brooklyn College where she is majoring in Food Science and Nutrition. She completed the 2010 NYC ING Marathon, six half marathons and has worked in the fitness industry for ten years. Her strengths include, program design, heart rate training, running, cycling and functional weight training.
Heather believes that a healthy, fit body is the foundation for living. She believes in training hard and pushing her clients to levels they never thought were possible. Through hard work, commitment and discipline she helps clients reach their goals and become conscious and active players in their own lives.
Heather uses her long distance running mentality to help clients overcome mental and physical blocks in their training. Megan is a NASM certified personal trainer. She has a BA in dance and biology from Goucher College. In addition to training, Megan performs a freelance professional dancer and teaches dance in studios throughout the 5 boroughs. She is also the co-founder of a contemporary dance company.
Although Megan works with a wide range of people with varying fitness levels and goals, her background in physical therapy allows her to specialize in rehabilitation, corrective exercise, mobility, and core stability.
Megan strongly believes that movement in all forms can touch hearts and thus change lives. She enjoys seeing clients become more aware of their bodies and how they move on a daily basis as they continue to train. Megan feels that anyone can accomplish their goals if they set their mind to it.
Dina graduated from the American Academy of Personal Training and is also a NSCA Ð Certified Personal Trainer, and certified kettle bell instructor. She also works as a Holistic Health Counselor, has a Masters in Education, and is a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
Dina demands that her clients are serious and committed about improving their body image and mental attitude, and works with men, women, and children by combining her knowledge of personal training with nutrition.
Dina's best attribute is that she is passionate about what she is training, and gets great satisfaction by seeing a client not only reaching their goals but exceed their own expectations. She is a highly dedicated professional who will make your work out experience challenging and rewarding.
Shawn is a NASM certified personal trainer who is currently pursuing a Masters in Physical Education. He is also a rugby player with international experience by being selected to represent the national side in 2008.
Shawn is the freshman rugby coach at Xavier High School and an instructor for PlayRugby USA, a non-profit youth organization. He believes that through a positive and enjoyable experience, America's youth can be instilled with life-long values on exercise and sport.
Shawn likes to incorporate his rugby exercises while training clients. Keeping exercise enjoyable is his main goal. As his college football coach once told him, "If it was easy, everybody would be doing it." Fitness training takes hard work and it is that hard work that will accomplish your goals and set you apart.
